
Halls raised considerable attention for this upcoming debut album “Ark” with the single “White Chalk,” and today he unleashes another one to the internet, “Roses for the Dead.” It’s a haunting, gorgeous electronic track with its fair share of blips and glitches a la James Blake or Thom Yorke‘s “The Eraser,” but it comes at us as if through the fog of a cough syrup high—slowed down and vaguely hallucinatory. It’s a beautiful number that puts “Ark” on our short-list of most anticipated records for the home stretch of 2012. Take a listen below.
