
Shai Halperin put himself on the map with his first musical incarnation, The Capitol Years. With that project, he caught the attention of several luminaries and toured with the Pixies, the Walkmen, played with the War on Drugs and collaborated with Daniel Johnston.
Today his new project Sweet Lights makes its debut with the full length “Sweet Lights, Sweet Lights.” His single “A Hundred Needle Pins,” streaming below, sounds timeless, maybe a little reminiscent of solo George Harrison. If we were scoring a movie about a week when the traffic lights were all green and the train always pulled into station just as we came down the stairs, this would be the theme song.
