
As far as cocktails with garnishes go, it’s hard to beat a Bloody Mary, as pretty much everything you can stick with a skewer is fair game. It’s hard to say who started this trend and when, but at some point restaurants and bars decided that chunks of meat were a particularly good addition to the usual celery, olive and lemon breakdown and since then have added them in greater and greater quantities until some are serving cocktails that are basically just meat with a lot of vodka sauce.
