What’s a bad thing? Cancer. Cancer is probably atop many people’s “bad things” list. And what’s a good thing? Marijuana. Marijuana is probably atop many people’s “good things” list.

Which is why a recent study out of the California Pacific Medical Center is saying that cannabidiol – a non-toxic compound found in marijuana – prevents the growth of the ID-1 gene that spreads cancer.

This could potentially lead to more research into the medical benefits of marijuana, which is still, for some fucking reason, illegal in this country despite some 20 million Americans smoking pot on either a regular or semi-regular basis according to government statistics. Other than making one want to eat Doritos more often or getting “too stoned,” marijuana has no known harmful side-effects.
