Moofest 2012 has just announced that they will be teaming up with electronic music geniuses Orbital for a remix contest. Aspiring producers will submit remixes of Orbital’s “Where Is It Going?”, the brilliant album closer on 2012 LP “Wonky.” (Stream the track below.)

The winner will receive two VIP passes, two nights accommodation in Asheville, NC, a meet and greet with Orbital, a remix premiere on Orbital’s Facebook or Soundcloud page, a signed copy of “Wonky” and social media exposure through Orbital and Moogfest’s websites. Not a bad deal. The “People’s Choice” winner, voted on by the people of course, will receive two general admission passes to Moogfest (travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the winner), exposure through Orbital’s Facebook page and some exclusive Moogfest merchandise.

The deadline for the remix contest is October 11 and the remixes will be voted upon on October 12. Moogfest and Orbital will announce the winners on October 19. Head over to the Moogfest website for more information.
