This week, Burger King Japan is releasing a hamburger with a black bun darkened with bamboo charcoal, and black ketchup darkened with squid ink. Called the “Kuro Burger,” the sandwich will hit stores September 28 to celebrate the five year anniversary of Burger King’s entrence into the Japanese market.
We obviously haven’t tasted it, but it looks pretty badass, especially the ketchup which has kind of a poisonous vibe. Compare BK’s black burger to McDonald’s’ little yin-yang duo released in China earlier this month.
As far as fast food trends go, this one’s pretty badass.
