Luke Skywalker wants Obama to use the force; doesn’t trust Romney

Real-life Luke Skywalker Mark Hamill stopped by Current TV‘s “The Young Turks” last night to talk with Cenk Uygur about Mitt Romney and last week’s presidential debate. After the debate, Skywalker Hamill sent a tweet that called Romney a “liar” and a “snake oil salesman.” Many on the dark side of the force the right were upset about the tweet, but last night Hamill made his case: “He’s taken every position there is. I would cast this guy as the president in a heartbeat—he’s got the hair…but I just cannot believe a word he says.”

Asked what “Star Wars” character Obama represents, Hamill went with the wizened old Jedi master Obi Wan Kenobi. I guess we’ll see if the force is with him at next week’s debate.

As for Dick Cheney, Hamill doesn’t think all the comparisons to Darth Vader are fair—to Vader. Because at least in the end Vader saw the evil of his ways and redeemed himself. So far that hasn’t happened with Cheney. Take a look below:
