Police officer Neill Franklin lost a friend to the War on Drugs, now he wants to end it

A few days ago a video was published in which Neill Franklin, former commander for the Maryland State Police Department, talks about how he lost a friend to the government’s War on Drugs. He notes how his hometown of Baltimore is now a desolate place, and that the War on Drug just perpetuates division. Franklin calls for an open discussion and “end these policies that are really just tearing communities and classes and races of people apart.”

More police officers need to speak up like Mr. Franklin. Head over to LEAP (Law Enforcement Against Prohibition) to meet more officers like him.
