Today a suspicious website popped up on the internet counting down to an “October Surprise.” What is this surprise you ask? Speculation on Twitter abounds.

The only information that has been released is that one of the candidates “isn’t being honest,” which is unarguably true—but what is it that they are hiding from us? Two of the most popular theories are that is has to do with either Mitt Romney’s tax records or Obama’s misconduct in the controversy over Libya.

Gawker has some blurred out images teasing the leak that might seem to implicate Mitt Romney’s sought-after tax records in the surprise.

One Twitter user has a completely different—and much more interesting—idea about it being all a viral marketing campaign for Animal Planet’s “Pet Election.” So far that has to be my favorite rumor of the bunch.

Could it be a countdown to the end of time? The assassination of Donald Trump? The next time I get laid? Well we will have to all wait till October 22nd at 5:30 PM ET to find out. Let me know in the comments what you guys think will go down on this ominous date.
