A few days ago Republican GOP candidate Paul Ryan went into a soup kitchen and pretended to wash up an already clean plate. He did so as a photo oppurtunity. The owner of the soup kitchen objected and then faced donor withdrawal after voicing his poltical views. Over 400 members of Fark, an online community dedicated largely to the dissemination of weird and odd news worldwide, have chipped in over $12,000 to help save the soup kitchen:

“We believe it is unconscionable that the hundred thousand people who get meals every year from this soup kitchen should suffer because of partisan antics,” wrote project coordinator Corey Snow, who goes by “Cyclometh” on Fark.

The original posting calling for donations on Fark was posted just three days ago.
