Eagle Rock is a hip little Los Angeles neighborhood located north of downtown. I used to live there. It is pretty damn laid back. Only 80 people voted in last year’s city council election.

The little hipster enclave is so laid back, in fact, that a flyer was passed around town promising $40 of free marijuana if a person came to one of Eagle Rock’s marijuana dispensaries with their “I Voted” sticker. 792 people showed up—almost 10x as many as the year before—and some are crying foul over voter fraud. What could be fraudulent about free marijuana?
