We get sent music here at the D and T on a regular basis; our desks heaving like Spanish bosoms with various promo materials from all sorts of artists. A lot of it is pure drivel; just awful. Sometimes, though, it is utterly fantastic.

Sean Rowe seems to be playing music that sounds quite like “Rain Dogs” era Tom Waits sped up from 33rpm to 45rpm with some surf rock undertones… the results of which work extremely well for his vocal delivery; think Josh Groban with a mouthful of marshmallows and you’re halfway there. It’s a blast to listen to sitting down but I can only imagine what it would be like to drive to this fucker. It screams 80mph-on-the-freeway-at-sunset-with-the-windows-all-the-way-down. It’s a great, great piece of music.
