Several days ago I received a press release for the “Monster Roll” short film. The subject line read: “Sushi Chefs Battling Sea Monsters.” I chuckled. Then I watched it. Then I got busy, but now since it’s Friday it seems like rather appropriate material before we head into the absurdity of Halloween weekend.

The director, Dan Blank, is trying to crowd-source “Monster Roll” into a feature film. So watch out for a Kickstarter page in the near future. Stay updated at the “Monster Roll” Facebook page.
