As you make your way through the mountain of photos and videos of Hurricane Sandy damage this morning, this is one you’ll want to check out—footage of the Con Edison power plant in Manhattan’s East Village exploding. This is the explosion largely responsible for lower Manhattan going dark. Con Edison is now saying it’ll be a few days before they get power restored. No wonder—this video looks like the nightmare from “T2: Judgement Day.”
