Behold the greatness that is Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ ‘Thrift Shop’ video

Every once in a great while an artist comes along that changes everything. Elvis, The Beatles, Hank Williams, The Band, Madonna, Nirvana, The Notorious B.I.G…. and now… Seattle hip-hoppers Macklemore and Ryan Lewis who have a (legitimate) hit on their hands with their new song “Thrift Shop,” dedicated, seemingly, to nothing else other than the great pasttime of going to thrift stores.

While they might be relegated to the novelty section, the song and its accompanying video are pretty damn fun and goofy. NPR even wrote a giant article on them, so what the heck. Maybe they are the next big thing.

…except that no one will probably remember this, or these guys, in a year.
