To reward to those who helped fund their new documentary, “Song Dynasties,” Of Montreal are pulling from their back catalog. “Propaganda” dates back to the band’s early days, and is probably one of the most emotionally driven Of Montreal songs out there. Gone is the typical quirkiness and in its place is a solid, striped down psychedelic rock song.
It’s also a love song at its finest. In a high pitched voice, Kevin Barnes squeals through the lyrics, “You’re the only thing I love.” Somber yet sweet, this song is a must listen for any Of Montreal fan. While you’re at it head over to their Kickstarter page and donate money towards their documentary.
