Jazz legend Dave Brubeck, dead at 91
Dave Brubeck, the legendary jazz pianist perhaps most famous for the song “Take Five” as well as a handful of highly influential albums, has died at the age of 91, his manager reports. He was one day short of his 92nd birthday.
He was also instrumental in breaking down the race barriers in jazz, playing black clubs in the south long before his peers embraced the idea.
