Eels release new song ‘New Alphabet’ from upcoming album ‘Wonderful, Glorious’

Dec 13, 2012

Mark Oliver Everett, better known as E, debuts “New Alphabet” from upcoming album “Wonderful, Glorious.” “New Alphabet” is the second song off his 10th studio album. Where “Peach Blossom” was more of a straight up rock and roll song, “New Alphabet” reminds us more of classic E. With a distorted guitar riff, Everett seems to sing methodically throughout the song.

Everett squeals through the chorus, “When the world stops making sense / I’ll make a new alphabet.” The song hints on the idea of starting over and the idea that the past is in the past. Stream the song below and pick up “Wonderful, Glorious” on February 5th from Vagrant Records.
