This week’s wackiest music news was that Nirvana would reunite for the 12-12-12 concert with Paul McCartney filling in for Kurt Cobain as front man. Wednesday brought the promised performance and their new track, “Cut Me Some Slack.”

Today we learn that the tune will appear on the soundtrack to Dave Grohl’s new documentary “Sound City” which debuts early next year. Starting today you can download the tune at iTunes, and order the whole album as an iTunes pre-order. The album will be out in March.
