‘Skyfall’ was the second most error-prone movie of 2012

Looks like “Skyfall” wasn’t as perfect as we thought, at least on a trivial level. MovieMistakes.com have released their yearly list of most mistake-ridden movies and ‘Skyfall’ came in second with an astounding 35 errors. The only one to beat it was ‘Men In Black III’ with 63 errors.

If you’re not familiar, MovieMistakes.com encourages readers to write in with continuity and research errors from films, then publishes running tallies of imperfections. It’s kind of a trolling service for film nerds. Skyfall’s “errors” include legitimate continuity problems such as this one: “In the scene where M (Judi Dench) is been driven back to the MI6 building, her car is stopped on a bridge and you see two cars stopping behind M’s vehicle while she is still inside. She then gets out of the vehicle to speak to a police officer who requested that the car stop, and now two different vehicles are behind.” But it also counts nitpicky observations like, “We don’t see where Moneypenny shot Bond, and are never told later in the film, but no wound is visible when he is swimming, or when Silva undoes his shirt, we only see the wound he got on the train in the right shoulder.”

Fair, but maybe just say this stuff to the person you’re watching the film with?

For what it’s worth, the films with the most viewers tend to tally the most errors. “The Dark Knight Rises” and “The Amazing Spider Man” tied for third, with 24 errors each.

A big error in filmaking is that Bond reveals his aston martin supercar in this film when that was specially made for him by Q-Branch as he become 007 in the future outing.
