Eddie Van Halen. Steve Vai. Yngwie Malmsteen. All jokers. Behold: Michael Angelo Batio proving that unless you are shredding on two guitar necks at the same time (all tapping—picking is for suckers), in harmony, like some kind of blazing Vishnu of rock awesomeness, you are not playing the most badass guitar solo of all time.
Lucky for us, this is exactly what Batio is doing. And it will melt. Your. Face.
Thanks to Aram Bajakian, guitarist for Lou Reed, Diana Krall and John Zorn’s Abaraxas collective, for sharing. Bajakian rocks some pretty incredible solos, too—check him out here.

Total joker writing this. Steve Vai did in fact play his heart-shaped guitar on tour with the David Lee Roth band in the 80s, my dad went to the show and can't stop bragging that he saw Stevie play both hands at the same time.
