Love him or hate him Jack White is one of the most prominent musicians of our generation. From his rock and roll output as one half of The White Stripes to his more blues-oriented solo stuff, the man can play. Touring extensively last year for his solo debut “Blunderbuss,” White has kept busy. His recent live shows are unmatched, with material from throughout his career.
That is why it is awesome today that “Austin City Limits” is streaming his performance from last year’s show courtesy of PBS. If you have not been able to catch his set recently this is a good way of inspiring you to go out and see one of his shows. Backed by two distinctive bands, White rolls through the hits—White Stripes classics such as “Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground” and “I’m Slowly Turning Into You” blend well with his newer material.
White Stripes fans, Raconteurs fans, and fans of great straight-up rock and roll will be happy with this amazing set from last year’s festival. Check it out below.
