Unbeknownst to us James Murphy – formerly of LCD Soundsystem – remixed this old demo of an unreleased Pulp song called “After You” and it sounds pretty fucking fantastic. Released as an after-Christmas gift to their fans, it does not disappoint.

It sounds precisely like a crazy disco track recorded in the 90s, and is heavy on a very danceable chorus. It makes you wonder why Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker never got into being a full-on R&B vocalist, but we can’t rewrite history now, can we?
