Congressman introduces a bill to overturn Citizens United (Video)

Congressman Jim McGovern of Massachusetts (D) just introduced a bill on the House Floor to overturn Citizens United.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Congress if he didn’t find a way to take a dig at Republicans by subtly blaming them for Citizens United. But McGovern’s bill would create a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United and keep corporate money out of elections. Sands Casino owner Sheldon Adelson broke the record for political spending in last year’s election, plunking down $150 million to get Romney elected. Ah yes, money well spent.

Watch McGovern do his thing below.

Doesn't that speak to the idea that no amount of corporate influence can can change an election? 150 mil from one dude and he still lost. Like your linked article says, he wasted all that money on a losing candidate. To me, looks like free speech 1, restricted speech 0. People voted their hearts, not with the influence of money. Speaks wonders for what you guys have been saying about corporate influence; doesn't work.
