As the American northeast and midwest and all of the U.K. endure the first miserable cold snap of the season, now is a great time to examine the Bactrian camel—the hale and hearty animal, known for enduring extreme cold, drought and high altitudes, like it’s no big deal.

The huskies of Asia’s Gobi desert, Bactrians are strong and furry, with super cute faces—a great combination of qualities, as shown in the 17 pics below.
