Making sense of The Strokes’ new single ‘One Way Trigger’

Sorry for the misleading title guys, but we’ve been trying all day to make sense of The Strokes‘ new single “One Way Trigger” and we just can’t do it. No dice. No sense made.

Seriously, is Julian Casablancas trying to be Timberlake? Where are all the guitars? And the real drums? Why all the Casio-sounding keyboards? Are there seriously five dudes playing on this track? Why is it only 4 minutes but feels like 10?

We can’t crack it. If you guys can make heads or tails of it, let us know. Listen below.

It sounds different from their previous works obviously! But it sounds good! They're only so many bands that can shift in sound an make it good… The Strokes are that band!
