“I’ll Be Around” is, as the headline might suggest, Yo La Tengo’s first music video in 15 years. Since 1997, to be exact. It’s a relatively zen return in which the band cooks and has a good time and generally, you know, just hangs out like cool people in cool bands do all the time. It’s a fun video and relaxing song. It’s probably what being married and indie rock sounds like. I wouldn’t know. Do you know how hard it is to date in New York? It’s like trying to carry a sheet of plywood in a hurricane. Not fun. And don’t even get me started on OK Cupid.
But anyway. This video is chill. Their new album Fade is out now, so go check that out, too.
