We’ve already seen that Kai the hatchet-wielding hitchhiker hero can sing—last week footage broke of him doing a super chill ukulele rendition of “Wagon Wheel” on a beach, which is apparently what Kai does to unwind when not cutting down maniacal would-be murderers with his hatchet of justice.

Today we get an original song from Kai. And damn it if isn’t kind of good. It’s sort of a Weezer meets Sublime meets Bush sound that unfurls into a big chorus. If this were 1997 I’d sign the guy in a second. Plus at about 1:55 we get to see Kai ditch the bandana for the first time and let his locks flow. And you know what emerges out of the cocoon of that bandana? A friggin rock star. Watch below.
