
Frenchman Frank Lecerf went out to get some groceries yesterday and ended up an hour away from his home, in a different country, in a ditch, with a swarm of police cars around him. He’d just led them on an hour-long chase after the gas pedal in his car stuck, leaving him in a car with no brakes going 125 mph.
He was able to call the police while in the car and notified them of his situation. They managed to – amazingly – clear the roads and act as a high-speed convoy until his car finally ran out of gas and he drove the car into a ditch.
Shockingly, he was unharmed, although he suffered two minor epileptic seizures. It should also be noted that his Renault Laguna was adapted for disabled drivers. Lecerf plans to take legal action against Renault.
