The ever-evolving never-apologetic the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are some of New York’s finest when it comes to rock. Karen O and the gang have been going at it now for about a decade, bringing basement rock and roll to the masses. From the electro inspired “It’s Blitz!” to the classic “Fever To Tell” the band has always put out top-notch work.
They released their first single “Sacrilege” from their upcoming album “Mosquito” today via BBC Radio 1. The song features a 20-person gospel choir that hits on hard at about the 2 minute mark. As always, Karen O is at it again with her unique voice that commands the song.
Nick Zinner is back to his amazing guitar riffs that were all but absent from their last album—which is a good thing. The band is at its best when Zinner is behind a guitar and his 20 some-odd pedals. Check out the single below and snag the album when it drops on April 16th via Interscope Records.
