Japanese design firm FabCafe has created a truly innovative service that allows people to make life-size gummy bears of themselves using a 3D body scan. Each gummy person costs just 6000 yen, or about $65.
While making a candy version of yourself sounds like a childhood dream come true, according to Short List the service is geared toward Japan’s White Day, the second Valentine’s Day, on which men present gifts to their girlfriends (the opposite of their regular Valentine’s Day).
What could be more romantic and fun (seriously) than eating a life-size gummy version of your boyfriend?
The only trouble comes when the gummy people come to life and grow 100 feet tall and start eating us by the handfuls. Which will happen, inevitably.
