‘Fucking shit’ news anchor hits Today Show, Morning Joe, Kelly and Michael and Letterman in one day

Apr 24, 2013

A.J. Clemente is fully enjoying his 15 minutes of fame.

After the “fucking shit” heard ’round the world, Clemente became the first news anchor we know of to lose his job with his very first words on air when he accidentally dropped the “f-bomb” to greet North Dakota local news viewers on his first day on the job.

So how’s he feeling now?

Well, this morning he was in New York City bouncing around as a featured guest on all the morning talk shows. He was interviewed by Matt Lauer, hung out on with Snoop Lion at “Live With Kelly and Michael” and tonight he’ll appear alongside Kate Hudson on “Letterman.”

Not bad for a week that started with getting fired.

One critical flaw: He told “Today” that he didn’t even realize he’d said “fucking shit” until his program director walked by in the show’s third break. If that’s the case, there’s really no excuse for the bumbling misery that was his opening salvo after the “fucking shit,” which we’d previously attributed to him freaking out, realizing that he’d just sworn on live TV: “I graduated from West Virginia University and I’m used to um.. you know… from being… from the in the East Coast.” If that was his natural reporting, unfazed the “fucking shit,” Clemente may truly be the worst news anchor ever. He better soak up these 15 minutes while they last.
