A woman fell into the 8-inch gap between a train and the platform in Japan over the weekend, and a crowd of people pushed back the 32-ton train in order to save her. The incident happened just outside of Tokyo, at the JR Minami-Urawa station. The train was only delayed 8 minutes.

It’s pretty remarkable to see just how human beings, when working together, can do something as unimaginable as lifting a train off of the tracks with their bare hands to save the life of another.
