Son arrested for punching dad over missing mac and cheese

On Sunday in South Carolina, a 20-year-old man was arrested for beating his father over an argument about macaroni and cheese.

His father, 54-year-old Brian Rossi, was “trying to make some macaroni and cheese for dinner,” according to the police report, until he realized that “there was only pasta and no more cheese packets” in the box.

But where, Brian wondered, did the cheese packets go? An age-old question, indeed, one that required an inquisition. So he asked his son, Alex. Rather, he told him to “stop using all of the cheese packets,” according to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.

An indignant Alex did not appreciate the accusation, so he “ran after him and began to punch him in the face and head.” Sheriff’s deputies found the father with bruising and swelling in his face.

Alex admitted that he gave his father the beatdown that any fan of mac and cheese would. He was arrested for charges related to misdemeanor assault and battery. As of the Sunday police report, he was in custody in lieu of a $1,100 bond.
