Tool singer Maynard James Keenan is selling his house, and it looks as crazy as you’d expect

In Music by Alex Moore / March 10, 2014

According to popular lore, singer Maynard James Keenan of Tool and A Perfect Circle once actually started a career in interior design before becoming the dark lord of rock and roll. He even once reportedly held a gig designing the interiors of pet stores.

Apparently Maynard is gearing up for some life changes—A Perfect Circle released their first new song in nine years in October and now Curbed LA is reporting that he just put his house in the hills above Hollywood on the market. Surprise! It looks as insane as you’d think it would.

While some of the furniture was added for staging, “everything nailed down” is Maynard’s. The exotic wood inlays are apparently hauled from his extensive touring abroad. As for the rooms painted like so many levels of Dante’s “Inferno,” that’s probably purely from Maynard. Check out the pictures below, and visit the listing if you’ve got an extra $2.8 million around and feel like shacking up Maynard’s place.
