Chubby Checker, singer of “The Twist” and like 300 other songs about twistin’, has finally settled his lawsuit against Chubby Checker, the penis-measuring app.
That’s right, there’s an app that measures your penis size, called Chubby Checker (get it?). Or at least there was, before it was taken down from its online store shortly before the lawsuit.
The singer believed the app adversely affected his “brand and value,” so he sued Hewlett-Packard and Palm for merely hosting the app in their store. Those companies claimed that they weren’t liable for simply hosting the app, and that they had removed the app from their store as soon as Mr. Checker complained.
The singer and the companies agreed to settle out of court, and the two companies agreed to not infringe on any of Checker’s trademarks. Sadly, this also means people will have to go back to using rulers to measure their dicks. Retro.
