McDonald’s drive-thru serves chicken sandwich topped with Nazi insignia
In Morehead City, North Carolina, a McDonald’s location is in deep shit after one of its employees allegedly slipped some hardcore anti-Semitic propaganda to a mother in the drive-thru.
Charleigh Matice found the hateful agit prop when she reached for the mayo to splatter all over her bun. That’s when she discovered a “tender, crispy white meat chicken breast filet with leaf lettuce, a hearty tomato slice and creamy mayonnaise,” according to the McDonald’s website, “all served on a bakery-style bun made with [eight] grams of whole grain” except it also had a swastika etched in butter on the underside of the top bun.
“Is this a joke?” she pondered to the local ABC News affiliate. “Does somebody really think they’re funny?”
Matice, while presumably a gentile, found the symbol offensive because her father fought in World War II. Also, she didn’t ask for butter. “That should be taken lightly,” she added. “It’s not something that should be thrown around.”
When she returned to the restaurant and reported the swastika to management, the store offered to replace her meal. But she opted for a refund as, she said, she “really didn’t have an appetite at that point.”
The store owner of the local McDonald’s issued an apology via local news:
We are very sorry for the service that our customers received, and to be clear we have terminated the employee who was involved. We do not tolerate that kind of behavior at McDonald’s, and it’s not what we stand for personally as owners. It is about providing the best level of service and care to our customers, and anything less than that is unacceptable to us.
After getting word that the Nazi enthusiast was fired, Matice said she’s happy to go back and eat more garbage at the 21st century slave prison once again. “I’m a loyal customer,” she said.
