Branson proves once again why he’s the most successful motherfucker around.
Sure, any free festival featuring M.I.A., Ludacris and LCD Soundsystem would get plenty of attention and draw plenty of attendees. But isn’t Richard Branson the real reason Virgin fest is able to engender such goodwill without raising the ire of corporate backlash? I mean, look at the guy.
Richard Branson is the corporate titan we love to love. He’s out of his mind, like a real life Tony Stark.
No matter how great the lineup, don’t we all feel better going to this guy’s festival than, say, an Exxon Fest, or Goldman Sachs Fest? Wouldn’t you feel like kind of a douche lining up for the Cheverolet Fest? What about the H&R Block Fest?
Why haven’t they made better use of Branson in marketing Virign Mobile? He’s the ultimate spokesman. Forget the Virgin Mobile FreeFest—if these guys get the iPhone I’m switching carriers.
