Les Savy Fav release new record, Root For Ruin, onto PayPal to combat indie pirates and graciously give away new song, “Let’s Get Out Of Here”
New York’s Les Savy Fav’s new record Root For Ruin leaked over the weekend, and the band was none too pleased. They sent some furious Tweets initially trying to staunch the flow, but decided to take a more proactive approach.
Following the news of the leak, LSF have set up a PayPal where fans can purchase the record in an “In Rainbows” pay-what-you-wish method. They write, “Donate some cash to us and be free of guilt—for the record. Pay extra and you’re also forgiven for sex sins and stuff AND we’ll tell Jesus to send you cookies.” Jesus cookies—delicious!
The band also found it in their hearts to give away the single “Let’s Get Out Of Here,” which we’re happy to hand over.
