Free Music Monday Featuring Arcade Fire, The National And The Clogs

Arcade Fire streams “The Suburbs,” The National perform at Terminal 5 and The Clogs colaborate with The National’s Matt Berninger

Mondays are a drag, but we have some free tunes to brighten the commencement of your work week:

We’ve found the best streams, downloads, and videos kicking around the internet from The Arcade Fire, The National and Clogs.

Canadian idols The Arcade Fire will release their new album “The Suburbs” tomorrow but have teamed up with NPR to stream the album in its entirety today. The album will stream until tomorrow and is available as either a single track or multiple-track stream.

Last Thursday, NYC brooders The National stunned audiences at a Terminal 5 hometown show. If you weren’t able to get to the sold out show, we have a remedy to assuage your hurt. Large Hearted Boy has a download available via NYC Taper. Look for the live rendition of “Mr. November”—it was the show’s highlight.

In other National-related news, lead singer Matt Berninger lends his baritone vocal chops to the new Clogs song “Last Song” from their album “The Creatures In The Garden Of Lady Walton.” This is not a complete surprise since The Clogs features National mainstay Bryce Dessner and contributor to the band Padma Newsome. Pitchfork has a video for the song produced by twin brothers Benjamin and Stefan Remirez-Perez and it’s spooky, sparse and quite glorious.
