Man burns down sex offender’s home, along with his own face

Russell Speigle, a 50-year-old man living in Wisconsin, has been arrested for allegedly burning down a house that a registered sex offender was supposed to move into. The police didn’t have too much trouble spotting Spiegle, considering he had fresh burns on his face when he was apprehended.

The cops also believe Speigle was responsible for a previous fire at the same house in 2014, which had also been ruled arson. The most recent fire happened just as repairs from the first fire had been finished.

Harold Nyberg, a convicted sex offender, was going to live in the house as part of Wisconsin’s supervised sex offender release program. Speigle, along with others, had complained about Nyberg moving into the neighborhood at a town meeting earlier in February.
