The garage rock misfits of King Khan and BBQ Show have sparked controversy after being detained by police in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, late last week. The boys were released shortly after, but tour manager Kristin Klein is facing charges of driving with a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance. More after the jump. Recent reports indicate that, in addition to the charges against Klein, Arish “King” Khan was also allegedly in possession of hallucinogenic mushrooms. Meanwhile, Mark “BBQ” Sultan could also be facing charges of possessing a controlled substance. No news as of yet about how this will affect the duo’s current tour across the U.S.
The band released their third album, Invisible Girl, earlier this month.
Here’s a trippy video– I guess it’s no surprise that these guys were caught with zoomers.
