Hacked road sign in Austin pays tribute to Harambe

It’s been over three months since Harambe the gorilla was shot dead at the Cincinnati Zoo and the nation still mourns. Folks as far away as Austin, Texas are showing their support for the ape that was taken too soon.

Road safety signs are pretty vulnerable to being hacked, what with it being fairly easy to look up how to do it and the complete lack of any sort of security near them. It was obviously only a matter of time before a brave citizen found one and got rid of the useless travel information it was displaying and changed the message to something more appropriate. A sign at the intersection of Nueces and 26th was chosen.

“Dix out 4 Harambe,” the sign reads.

Beautiful.
