Comet Ping Pong shooter pleads not guilty

The man who allegedly showed up at Comet Ping Pong in Washington, D.C. in order to “self-investigate” the sinister rumors about top Democrats using the pizza place as a cover for a satanic pedophile sex trafficking operation pleaded not guilty to gun charges on Friday.

Edgar Welch has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm during a commission of violence in D.C. and a federal charge of transporting a firearm and ammunition across state lines. Law enforcement officers found an AR-15 rifle and .38 revolver after arresting the 28-year-old who allegedly fired one bullet at a locked door during his search for secret rooms and tunnels associated with the Pizzagate conspiracy theory. The prosecutors’ contention is that since Welch came from Salisbury (or “Smallsbury” as he likes to call it), North Carolina, he must have driven across state lines with the firearms.

Welch faces up to 35 years in prison if convicted on all charges.
