Wes Anderson directed a new Stella Artois commercial, and surprise! It’s masterfully art directed and romantically dorky.
Hiring film directors to helm commercials is my favorite way for large companies to buy street cred. It’s like they get the celebrity endorsement and an artistically entertaining commercial all rolled into one.
It’s also an awesome way to penetrate the internet now that everyone has DVR. People are way more likely to search “Wes Anderson Stella Commercial” on YouTube than just “Stella Commercial,” because they know it will be enjoyable.
