Angela Merkel gives Trump the best screwface when he makes Obama wiretapping joke
During Friday’s joint press conference with German Chancellor Angel Merkel, President Trump was asked about his baseless accusations regarding President Obama supposedly wiretapping Trump Tower and if he ever regrets his tweets.
Trump responded that he “very seldom” regrets his actions on the social media channel, and, with regard to his baseless allegation leveled against his predecessor, Trump proved once again that he is a man of little, if any, restraint. “As far as wiretapping by this past administration,” said Trump, while gesturing towards Merkel, “at least we have something in common, perhaps.”

Merkel’s reaction shot speaks for itself. Sure, her lips aren’t saying anything, but her eyes are clearly saying “fuck you.”

Trump was referencing documents leaked by Edward Snowden showing that the Obama administration spied on the German government. Trump, or any government agency for that matter, has yet to produce evidence showing that his predecessor wiretapped Trump Tower in the months leading up to the election.
Trump then sidestepped questions on his unfounded claims that British intelligence helped Obama wiretap him by passing the buck to Fox News commentator Judge Napolitano, who made the claim based on anonymous sources. “We said nothing,” a spineless Trump asserted. “All we did was quote a certain very talented legal mind who was the one responsible for saying that on television. I did not make an opinion on it. That was a statement made by a very talented lawyer on Fox. So you should not be talking to me. You should be talking to Fox.”
