Watch a congresswoman scream with glee at the prospect of kicking people off their healthcare

House Republicans say they have enough votes to repeal Obamacare, replace it with something that could end up killing thousands of people per year, and they could not be more delighted. Just take a look at Missouri congresswoman Ann Wagner, who can’t contain her glee at the prospect of enacting Medicaid cuts that will screw over kids with disabilities who rely on special education services from their schools.

After emerging from Thursday morning’s Republican conference prior to the 1 p.m. House vote, Wagner told reporter Simone Pathe that she was “all smiles!” And why wouldn’t she be stoked? After all, Congress voted to exempt themselves from the cruelest provisions of the AHCA, including the threat to preexisting conditions protections.

Perhaps Wagner felt that she wasn’t rubbing enough salt in her constituents’ wounds, here she is yelling her favorite “Braveheart” quote at the thought of needlessly sending poor people to an early grave.

FREEDOM, indeed.

Wagner conveniently dodged holding town halls with her constituents ahead of the vote, so residents held one without her.

She is up for reelection in 2018.
