Jimmy Kimmel: Firing Comey is like ‘O.J. firing Judge Ito halfway through the trial’

Jimmy Kimmel’s got jokes, about Donald Trump firing FBI director James Comey, in the midst of the FBI investigating possible ties between the Trump campaign and Russia.

“He fired James Comey, the director of the FBI, which is kind of like O.J. [Simpson] firing Judge Ito halfway through the trial,” Kimmel said on Tuesday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” He added that this is the kind of thing dictators do, as well as reality TV hosts. “Maybe that’s what happened. He thinks he’s still on ‘The Celebrity Apprentice.'”

The Trump administration said one of the reasons he fired Comey is because he “mishandled” the Hillary Clinton email controversy. “Which is hilarious because that would mean Trump fired James Comey for making him president,” Kimmel said. “He really does hate doing this job.”

Kimmel offered to sell “Comey Is My Homey” T-shirts to any Americans “angry about this shameful and disgraceful move.”
