Jason Schwartzman Kind of a Dick on ‘Fresh Air’

Jason Schwartzman is a Coppola.

If I were a Coppola here’s how I would introduce myself: “Hey, the name’s Coppola, Stephen Coppola. Call me Coppola for short.”

Instead, I’ve been dealt a bad hand, in no small part due my potato-soaked Irish blood. I’m genetically predisposed to sanding your floors or perhaps installing that dropped ceiling as opposed to blogging, writing articles and so on. But when you get dealt a good hand, like Jason Schwartzman, you got to embrace it. He doesn’t.

Schwartzman, star of Jonathan Ames‘ “Bored to Death” and a few Wes Anderson films, appeared on NPR’s “Fresh Air” last night. He is the son of Talia Shire, who we all know as Ardriaaaan. When he was asked whether he saw “Rocky” and knew what he wanted to do with his life, he went cold, cold, cold.

Here’s to the “Well, I wanted to be a musician but then I kind of got forced into acting” angle. We can only hope it keeps him young and hip forever.

Well thank god you wrote this article. I for one do not know what I would have done without this information.
