Subject line on the DJT Jr. email: ‘FW- Russia – Clinton – private and confidential’
In the wake of the reveal that the eldest Trump fail son met with Kremlin-connected lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya on the promise of receiving oppo dirt on Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump Jr. took it upon himself to release every incriminating email via Twitter. He was just trying to get ahead of The Tuesday NY Times story reporting that they actually had the emails in which Trump Jr. is made fully aware that he’s meeting with an agent of a hostile foreign government who wants to aid his father’s election efforts.
The best part of the email Trump Jr. received is the subject line. Behold: “FW- Russia – Clinton – private and confidential.”
If you don’t believe me, just check out the print outs that Trump Jr. shared on social media.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but here’s how Junior responded to the offer of campaign help from the Russian government. From NYT:
He replied within minutes: “If it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer.”
Four days later, after a flurry of emails, the intermediary wrote back, proposing a meeting in New York on Thursday with a “Russian government attorney.”
The emails from music publicist Rob Goldstone stating explicitly that this information was coming from the Russian government were also forwarded to former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, both of whom attended the meeting with Junior.
So now it’s out that Junior, Manafort, and Kushner were aware of the Moscow’s explicit offer to help to get Trump into the White House. Are we supposed to believe that the candidate had no idea that his son took a meeting after receiving a written offer of assistance from someone acting on behalf of the Russian government?
